First off I want to apologize because this drama seems to mostly stem from my comments and that was never my intention. Miscommunication and me making inaccurate observations are to blame.
When I said “representing” I meant “had been to a @Tweetup757 meetup before.” And for accuracy’s sake @Falcon_ was not there but @Tcampbell1000 was.
My reason for pointing out that not everyone at the #Photowalk was already on twitter was to show one of the ways the groups (people that had been to a @Tweetup757 meetup before and the people that had come to the #photowalk) were different. The fact that at least (@CandyAppple is the only one I am sure of) joined twitter after the #photowalk means we were good ambassadors of the service. To my memory all of the people I have met at the @Tweetup757 meetups had been already twitter users.
I tried to make a point that @John_Cachero had connected with other people whom used twitter but whom hadn’t come to a @Tweetup757 meetup and that there was a group of people at the #Photowalk that seemed to have a previous bond. @John_Cachero puts it best when he said “The long-lost-friends vibe b/w strangers who’ve never met was established ON Twitter EXCLUSIVELY @tweetup757. I see your source’s confusion.” I wasn’t sure if they had met in person before or not. Now I know and I think its awesome that you guys have that connect. I feel honored that you allow me into that conversation.
I hope this clears up my mistakes and allows us to move forward to further meetups/tweetups and photowalks. I look forward to Tweetups of many different types in future.
